We have an excellent string program, but need more fine cellists to compliment the number and high level of talent in the violin and viola studios. Our symphonic orchestra and chamber orchestra sound better than ever under the direction of Paul Elliott Cobbs. The Kairos Quartet continues teaching the Chamber Music Seminar course. Students get practical teaching experience and compensation to teach lessons and ensemble classes in our Preparatory Program. CWU is a 4-year liberal arts institution with 8,000 students and 250 music majors.
