WHAT IS IT?
IT is a wonderful videotape that gives an overview of the
World Cello Congress III
This 54-minute video has been professionally edited with excellent color and sound.
Some of the excerpted highlights in IT include:
* Master classes taught by Bernard Greenhouse, Yo-Yo Ma, and Janos Starker together with Bernard Greenhouse
* In-depth interviews with Yo-Yo Ma and Zara Nelsova
* Yo-Yo Ma’s “Cello Party for Children”
* Eugene Friesen’s Jazz Improvisation Workshop
* Zara Nelsova’s “Art of Stage Deportment”
* Hai-Ye Ni and Liwei Qin performing with the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra
* Yo-Yo Ma performing with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra

* The 235-member Massed Cello Ensemble at the Metro Food Market and at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall performing all of “Song of the Birds” with Bernard Greenhouse as soloist.
