For sale: Full size Michael Goronok Cello, built in 2000 by Mr. Goronok himself in his Cleveland workshop. This is the top of the line model, not one of the cellos made by his students. Cello has been my backup instrument for some time, as I am performing on a German Strad copy built in the late 1800's, but is by no means a back up instrument! Cello is near mint condition, only showing normal signs of use from work varnish to the left of the neck. Finish is a beautiful golden brown, with gorgeous flaming and fine graining. Plays like a dream.. Very loud and open sound, perfect as a soloist instrument, but blends well for ensemble playing also. Has been owned since graduating from high school in 2004, and always well cared for, including regular visits to my repairman. Could include a case if you need one, either an SKB thermoplastic, or an early 1980's American Case company hill-style cello case. I don't want to let her go, but I could really use the money to continue my education, and I would rather see her go to someone who could use a nice professional cello. Perfect for college level playing through professional level. Michael Goronok is one of the top makers in the United States.
Cello is located in southwest Michigan and I will not ship it. If you are interested in more information, please fee free to email me at cellogeek@gmail.com for more information, pictures, or to arrange to play her. Asking $11,000 or best offer, with or without a case, no bow. Don't hesitate to contact me to make an offer, even if you think there's no chance I would accept it. While the monetary aspect is important, I'm more interested in it going to the right person, even if that means taking a hit on the price. |
