| The cello has a very rich tone throughout the instrument - deep low-end tones and smooth high-end tones. It also looks as beautiful as it sounds, with a deep red glow. This cello was wonderful for someone transitioning from a student to a serious cellist. It was crafted by the German maker, Eberhard Meinel.
I purchased this cello in 1993 for $2,800 and in 1998 it was appraised at $4,000 (documentation available). There has been no major damage and therefore no repairs have been made. Asking price includes a hard case and fiberglass bow. Pictures are available by email.
I live in Boston and could arrange to bring the cello to a location in New England or New York. Outside of this area, I would ask for the buyer to pay shipping costs.
